Power Pages: Not So Public Key

Over the last few years, we’ve been working on ecLearn – a Learning Management System (LMS) built on top of the Microsoft Power Platform. It allows organizations to create and deliver courses using either a model-driven Power App or Power Pages. As I’ve described in previous posts previous posts, delivering an ISV product using Power Pages is not without its challenges. In this post, I’m going to look at one particular issue we ran into during our development.

Power Pages: Pro Code Techniques in the Templates – Custom Interface for Service Selection

This month we continue our look at some of the pro code techniques that appear in the templates available for Power Pages. This time we’re going to look at the “Schedule and Manage Meetings” template, which provides a multistep form for booking a meeting. This form has lots of pro code goodies in it, so this won’t be the only post, but for now, we’re going to look at the first step in the form where the user chooses what type of meeting they want to have.

Power Pages: A Platform for ISVs?

Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) have been an important part of the Microsoft Business Applications space for a long time. ISVs create solutions that build on top of the platforms and products that Microsoft provides off-the-shelf. As the Power Platform has continued to grow and evolve, more opportunities have presented themselves for ISVs. In this post, I’ll look at what ISVs might want to consider when looking at incorporating Power Pages as part of their offering.

Dynamics 365 Portal: Custom Server-side Code with a Companion App

I spent last week in Amsterdam attending both eXtreme365 and the User Group Summit, and was lucky enough to get to present three sessions on Dynamics 365 Portal topics. At each one of these sessions, one of the areas that generates the most interest is when I discuss the idea of a Companion App. Companion Apps are a technique you can use to leverage server-side code in your Portal implementation, and since it’s a topic I haven’t really covered on my blog, I thought it was about time.
