When using the Microsoft-provided PowerShell scrips to assist with an upgrade from Portals v7 to v8, there are a few known issues that could still leave your data in an undesirable state. We’ve released an XrmToolBox plugin to help address a couple of those items.
On Wednesday we released an update to our XrmToolBox Plugin for the Online Management API. This new version includes support for a few enhancements recently introduced in the latest version of XrmToolBox, as well as the removal of the ability to save a backup to Azure, as per a Microsoft request.
Since we were so close, we decided to finish off adding support for the entire Online Management API to our XrmToolBox Plugin. We’ve actually released two versions recently: one with the new features, and then another one fixing a bug we had introduced with the new features.
We became quite familiar with the Online Management API while developing our XrmToolBox Plugin. In this post I’ll share a view of my observations.
